His experiences and transformative approach leave a lasting impact, making him a trusted voice for aspiring entrepreneurs and business leaders around the world.
George Stroumboulis’ upbringing is deeply influenced by his Greek immigrant heritage. Born in Toronto, Canada, to parents Evangelos and Dimitra Stroumboulis, who emigrated from Greece in the 1970s, George grew up in a household that blended Canadian culture with rich Greek traditions. When George was four, his parents purchased a family restaurant, which became a significant part of their lives for more than 30 years. This venture not only provided the Stroumboulis family with a source of income but also a wealth of life lessons, cherished memories, and invaluable experiences for George, his sister Bessie, and their entire family.
Growing up in the family business was a transformative experience for George, exposing him to entrepreneurship at an early age and teaching him the importance of hard work, resilience, and building connections with people from all walks of life. The restaurant became more than just a business; it was the center of the family’s identity, teaching George and his sister the value of dedication and effort, as well as how success is directly tied to perseverance.
This immersion in the family restaurant instilled in George a strong work ethic and an appreciation for the power of human connections, skills that would become the foundation of his entrepreneurial journey. The experience also showed George how the immigrant experience shapes one’s approach to business and life, giving him a deep understanding of the value of diverse perspectives and backgrounds.
Today, these early lessons continue to drive George’s passion for entrepreneurship and his commitment to fostering meaningful relationships and embracing cultural diversity. The lessons from his family’s restaurant business remain central to his approach as a business leader, guiding his journey and shaping his vision for success.

As CEO, George leads a multinational team and oversees operations that span design, logistics, sourcing, and manufacturing in over 30 countries.
His strategic vision has positioned Ideoli as a trusted partner to some of the world’s most iconic brands — delivering custom lighting solutions that balance creativity, precision, and speed. George’s expertise extends beyond lighting, drawing from deep experience in real estate, media, television production, and global supply chain management.
George earned his degree in Business Administration from Brock University in Canada, and expanded his international business acumen at École Supérieure de Commerce in Dijon, France, and Ulster University in Northern Ireland. These formative years laid the groundwork for his uniquely global perspective.
His career began at the EU Government’s Economic Business Agency in Corfu, Greece, where he discovered a passion for building systems that help businesses scale. That early purpose — helping others grow through structure, clarity, and innovation — still fuels him today.
Under George’s leadership, Ideoli continues to scale across new markets, pushing boundaries in custom manufacturing, procurement, and lighting design. His focus is simple: lead with vision, execute with discipline, and never stop innovating.
Family is always George's top priority. Despite an intense travel schedule that sees him covering more than 300,000 miles annually to destinations around the world, he places great importance on being present for his wife and three daughters. To maintain a strong connection with his family, George adheres to a personal rule of limiting his stays, even in the most remote locations, to three days or less, ensuring he's consistently involved in his family’s daily life.
His commitment to his family is so strong that he's temporarily paused high-adrenaline activities like skydiving, bungee jumping, hang gliding, and swimming with sharks, waiting for the time when his daughters can share these thrilling experiences with him. For George, achieving a balance between the demands of his professional life and his family responsibilities is a core priority. No matter where his work takes him, he remains dedicated to providing a nurturing and supportive environment for his family, showing that both success and strong family values can go hand in hand.
