Take Your Father to Work Week... in China!

I had the best, greatest father son trip in the history of father son trip. I invited my father, Evangelos Stroumboulis, to come with me on a trip to China and I told him, Dad, why don't you come to China, see what I do? We grew up in the family restaurant industry and he's never been to China but always knows what I'm doing.

I'm like, Let's go experience that firsthand. So I brought him here at the time he was 74 and we started in Hong Kong. Guangzhou, Shenzhen, flew to Shanghai and we did like eight cities in six days, took him to dozens of factories to see production lines and just see what my world is here. It was the ultimate bonding trip to be able to spend that time with my father, show him what I do, and just really get him in to see what I do for a living. It was the most memorable trip.

ARE FATHER-SON TRIPS A THING?

Yes, father-son trips are definitely a thing and can be incredibly meaningful and rewarding for both fathers and their sons. These trips provide opportunities for bonding, shared experiences, and quality time together. Father-son trips can take many forms, depending on interests, preferences, and budget. They could involve outdoor adventures like camping, fishing, hiking, or skiing, or they could focus on cultural experiences such as visiting museums, historical sites, or attending sporting events. Some father-son trips may even involve traveling to new destinations, exploring different cultures, and embarking on exciting adventures together. The key is to find activities and experiences that both father and son enjoy and that allow them to connect and strengthen their relationship. Whether it's a weekend getaway or a longer journey, father-son trips can create lasting memories and deepen the bond between generations.

TAKE YOUR FATHER TO WORK WEEK - WHAT IS IT?

"Take Your Father to Work Week" is not a widely recognized or official event, but it could be a concept inspired by "Take Your Child to Work Day," which is a day when employees are encouraged to bring their children to the workplace to expose them to various careers and workplaces.

In the context of "Take Your Father to Work Week," the idea might be to reverse the roles and encourage children to bring their fathers to work with them for a week. This could serve as an opportunity for children to show their fathers what they do at work, introduce them to colleagues, and share insights into their daily routines and responsibilities.

While "Take Your Father to Work Week" may not be a formal event, the concept could be a fun and engaging way for children to involve their fathers in their lives and for fathers to gain a deeper understanding of their children's interests and career paths. It could also promote family bonding and create lasting memories.
