Trade policy was changing as I developed our manufacturing relationships in Vietnam. The United States withdrew from the proposed Trans-Pacific Partnership in January 2017. My visits focused on local factories, their attention to detail and their production capabilities.
After inspecting several factories in Vietnam, I gained an appreciation for the attention to detail and advanced manufacturing capabilities these companies have.
The quality of products coming out of Vietnam has increased a lot. Over the last 20 years, there has been a strong development in the wood furniture business here. It’s a very dynamic environment where new things are developed continuously.
