Ένας Έλληνας από το Μανχάταν της Νέας Υόρκης αποφάσισε να αλλάξει τον τρόπο με τον οποίο οι επίδοξοι αγοραστές προβαίνουν σε αγοραπωλησίες στην Ελλάδα.
Ένα χρόνο πριν, ο Γιώργος Στρουμπούλης χρησιμοποιώντας τις γνώσεις του στο μάρκετινγκ και την τεχνολογία του διαδικτύου δημιούργησε την ιστοσελίδα GreekPropertyExchange.com. Μια ιντερνετική τοποθεσία στην οποία οι αγορές και οι πωλήσεις γίνονται με ένα μόνο κλικ και μάλιστα από μακριά.
Πως προέκυψε όμως η ιδέα; Όπως τονίζει ο ίδιος ο ιδρυτής του δημοφιλούς, πλέον, site, πριν από δύο χρόνια ενδιαφερόταν να αγοράσει ένα μικρό διαμέρισμα στην Καλαμάτα. «Απογοητεύτηκε τόσο πολύ με την όλη χρονοβόρα και περίπλοκη διαδικασία και αποθαρρύνθηκε να συνεχίσει την αναζήτηση», υπογράμμισε και προσθέτει πως σπατάλησε σχεδόν όλες του τις καλοκαιρινές διακοπές στο να ψάχνει διαμερίσματα. Όταν, τελικά, κατάφερε και βρήκε το διαμέρισμα που τον ενδιέφερε, ξεκίνησε νέος Γολγοθάς, αφού υπήρχαν κάποια γραφειοκρατικά θέματα να λυθούν, κυρίως λόγω ελληνοκαναδέζικης υπηκοότητας, αλλά και εξαιτίας της ξένης γλώσσας.
Έτσι, ο Γιώργος Στρουμπούλης πήρε την απόφαση να ιδρύσει το GreekPropertyExchange.com (GPE), μια απλή, ηλεκτρονική αλλά πραγματική αγορά ακινήτων που φέρνει κοντά αγοραστές, πωλητές αλλά και εκείνους που επιδιώκουν [μη αναγνώσιμο] εκμετάλλευση ακινήτων. A Greek man from Manhattan, New York, decided to change the way prospective buyers carry out property transactions in Greece.
A year earlier, Giorgos Stroumboulis used his knowledge of marketing and internet technology to create GreekPropertyExchange.com. It is a website where purchases and sales take place with a single click, even from a distance.
How did the idea arise? As the founder of the now-popular site explains, two years earlier he had wanted to buy a small apartment in Kalamata. He emphasized that he became so disappointed by the time-consuming and complicated process that he was discouraged from continuing the search, adding that he spent almost his entire summer holiday looking for apartments. When he eventually found an apartment that interested him, a new ordeal began: bureaucratic issues needed to be resolved, mainly because of his Greek-Canadian citizenship and the foreign language.
Giorgos Stroumboulis therefore decided to establish GreekPropertyExchange.com (GPE), a simple electronic but real property marketplace bringing together buyers, sellers and those seeking [unreadable] property use. The website was created to help people from around the world pursue their dream of searching for property from the comfort of home.
