TAMYNAI SEASIDE RUN IN MY FATHER'S HOME TOWN IN EVIA GREECE
tamynai Seaside Run: Honoring Our Roots in Evia & Celebrating a Family-Born Tradition
There are places in Greece that feel less like destinations and more like home — even if you didn’t grow up there.
For me, that place is Evia, my father’s hometown. A land of heritage, family stories, and summers that shaped generations.
This year, returning to Evia to support and celebrate the Tamynai Seaside Run wasn’t just an event — it was a deeply personal homecoming.
Because this race was created by someone very special to me:
My cousin, Georgios Stroumboulis of Prasino, Evia.
His vision, passion, and love for our homeland brought this event to life — transforming an idea into a yearly tradition that now unites runners, families, and visitors from across Greece.
🌅 A Race That Represents the Spirit of Evia
The Tamynai Seaside Run has quickly become one of southern Evia’s most inspiring athletic gatherings — a celebration of movement, community, and the natural beauty of our coastline.
Set along the water, runners enjoy:
Fresh island air
A scenic seaside route
The morning sun rising over the Aegean
A finish line filled with local pride, music, and tradition
It’s the kind of event that instantly feels authentic — because it is.
And it exists because Georgios had the courage to start something new, rooted in love for Prasino, our family, and the wider Evia community.
👨👩👧👦 A Family Moment I’ll Never Forget
Attending the event with my family transformed the day into a memory I’ll hold forever.
Standing there with my daughters — watching the runners, the volunteers, the locals cheering from the sidelines — I felt connected not just to the land, but to the generations before us. This is where my father grew up. This is where our roots run deep.
And this is where my children now get to feel part of a story bigger than themselves.
💡 Ideoli Sponsoring the Run — A Meaningful Contribution
Ideoli has been blessed to illuminate major projects around the world, but sponsoring the Tamynai Seaside Run held a unique meaning. This wasn’t about business. It was about giving back to the place that gave my family its foundation.
Proudly seeing the Ideoli name next to local Evia businesses and supporters was a moment of honor — a symbol of unity between the life I’m building today and the legacy my father and our family come from.
It was also a way to support Georgios’ vision, recognizing the effort, dedication, and heart he poured into creating this event for his hometown.
💛 Proud of Georgios — Proud of Prasino — Proud of Evia
Events like this don’t happen by accident. They happen because someone cares enough to make them happen. My cousin, Georgios Stroumboulis, is that person.
His leadership, love for Prasino, and belief in the power of community created an event that now brings joy, activity, and connection to the entire region.
He didn’t just organize a race. He created a tradition — one that will continue to inspire and grow.
🌊 A Day That Brought Everything Full Circle
The sound of runners along the coastline…
The cheers of families…
The pride of locals…
The connection to my father’s past…
The future my daughters now see for themselves…
This is what the Tamynai Seaside Run represents. Not just athleticism — but heritage. Not just community — but family. Not just a race — but our roots.
A reminder that no matter where life takes us around the world, we always return home — to Evia, to Prasino, to the family that built us.
